Fasuli for lunch!!!! The other things didn't get a look in. Have I told you about the rooms? They tend to have a different level from room to room - either a plank across the doorway or a different level. To my room it is about one inch high,but the one at the entrance to the hotel is about three!
Waiting on the bus for the ferry. One has just gone and there are two more that have just come in. However the bigger one looks like it is for a cruise ship, and the small one is almost full. Every corner had at least one gendarme today, and again they will be given priority. We seem to be loading on the other ferry! We are on!!!
Could you add mum's email address to the userid so i can send her one? She is pateeh@bigpond, com (without the space). The tablet doesn't show the address as you type, and gets it wrong.
The bus ride off the ferry was astounding. We were first to get off. The bus behind us decided to drive about a foot back- no more. Unfortunately that meant the ferry off ramp lowered, so the slope became very steep. And the bottom of the ramp was wet, so the rear wheels skidded,and the bus went backward. To make matters worse, the next bus across had inched forward, so there was nowhere for our bus to slide! Fortunately our bus driver is very good and he managed to negotiate the ramp successfully. Of course there was a car parked on the ferry terminus where the bus needed to go. However, the owner moved it,and we cleared the terminus. It was a terse few minutes!
We have a schedule for gallipoli,which means we spend all day on 24 from 5am until 3pm on 25 in queues!
Mud mud mud! Caught the second ferry this morning. Too many gandames again. The anzac battleship was at the wralf.
