It's good that you are feeling up to going on the tour. I hope that you survive without any accidents.
It's been mostly sunny today, so I went for a walk this morning - I've been feeling fat and lazy for a while.
This afternoon I've been making fletching for my arrows and later on I'll bring in such of my washing as is dry.
Dogs aren't supposed to roam the streets without their walkers.
ReplyDeleteToday was excellent! I am so much better!
Somehow I got lost as far as days is concerned. The last night of the tour is tonight and tomorrow i begin the çlassical Turkey tour, leaving at 8am for ankara. I am giving Belinda and Barbara some stuff so my bag is smaller and lighter, and they will post it in Australia. I didn't want my rug and Barbara lost hers so this is compensation. The jacket we got is far to hot and takes up a lot of space, and I'll send back the books I've bought. This should keep me to 20kg for the flights within turkey.
You are a hive of industry!
ReplyDeleteToday we went to a carpet showroom and saw someone making a fantastic silk carpet probably maybe a metre by half a metre. It will sell for $15,000. It was gorgeous! And after they explained the Turkish carpet with about a hundred on the floor, came the hard sell! I didn't have my cards with me, so you needn't worry about me buying one. There was no point. We also went to the grand bazaar where I could really go to town!
ReplyDeleteWe have just come back from the dinner on the bosphorous- an upmarket dinner for the last night. The traffic at this time of night is still full of traffic jams! It was a wonderful tour. We all had fun,and the organization was supurb.
