By crikey. Getting my local news all the way from Turkey.

  1. Yesterday I wore a pair of trousers that had the seam coming apart. I didn't realize it until after we had left the hotel. At least my top went down a reasonable way. Checking last night, one of the other new trousers is also going in the crutch, so I will fix both on the bus today.

My purple top needs a proper clean, so hopefully I can do that tonight (we're leaving the current hotel this morning). The new trousers are really good as they dry quite quickly, so im glad i made them. The new tops aren't as good as they are hotter than cotton and take too long to dry. I can't rely on things drying overnight, but the new trousers come very close, as do the new pair of underpants i made. Socks and the new tops are the worst. When I get home I'll make some tops and some more underpants.

The other day people were complaining about weekend wages in Australia, saying that students can get $40 an hour for waitressing. These people are all quite wealthy (although they probably think they are normal) and really have little idea. I could be contrarian but I'm not, as there is no way i am going to change their ideas.

Your walking was very good for nemrut dagh. Mount Nimrod was steep with lots of large pieces of crushed rock and old snow drifts. Other sites were worse, but shorter.

I have even used the bag you bought me. Thanks very much for both.
