It's good that you are in a better hotel. It's much easier to sleep when it's cool.
There was a lot of wind yesterday. All the hills looked fuzzy, as if you were looking at them through rain or smoke, but it was really dust that had been picked up by the wind. Today it isn't as windy - or as dusty.
We are rich! Yesterday the super fund got a cheque from the tax office for $7,000 as a tax refund. Well, you are probably rich, as it's probably your refund. I haven't told Paschal about it yet.
We had a farewell dinner last night. Very nice. The bus ride home was an enormous traffic jam as there were celebrations marking the night of the 5th may. People hang coins on rose bushes, write wishes and hang them on rose bushes... I told our guide that I had pulled out our rose bushes and she said I must be very unlucky!
ReplyDeleteYou sat there watching while they walked under the bench, opened the peg packet and nibbled on some pegs??? Sounds like you were so stunned by the cockatoo that was doing this you would have let it do anything!
