Trousers

The trousers might dry quickly but it's no good if they're coming apart already. Too bad about the tops and socks - it's not fun getting into wet clothes.

I think they've over-estimated the rates for waitresses. Still, if the cafes or restaurants could get people cheaper I'm sure they would. If it takes $40 an hour to get people to work at weekends then that's how things are - capitalism at work.

Good crop of King Parrots around the house today.

I thought you might have to do some rough walking.

  1. The pair that was coming apart may have been sewn too close to the edge, but the material appears to have frayed away from the seam, so I'm not sure. I have problems with some thread not being very durable, and I think that's the cause of the other pair developing a problem. As I wore incontenance pants under them for a week they were under considerable strain.

Unfortunately we are being overfed on this tour. The guides are trying to do something about it but its not working. For instance today they were told we would get soup, boiled kofte, lamb with cinnamon rice and ice cream for lunch. They decided it was too much especially as we were in a hurry so they removed the boiled kofte and the icecream. The resteraunt got the message that we were in a hurry and served everything fast and semolina came with the icecream! It took too long so we didn't make it to the museum (partly because the hotel took forever).

  2. Still in the land of one sheet. Tonight's companion is a doona. It appears to be slightly cooler here so maybe a doona won't overheat me.

Tried to reply to mum and Firefox crashed again. This place has pretty poor WiFi, so it took a long time to get back on. Gobekli Tepe is absolutely amazing.
